This weekend saw the start of the CHP Organised Indoor Cricket League, played at a new venue in Portela. If the first game was anything to go by the league should be pretty competitive this year.

The first game was between Oeiras and Bangladesh, with Bangladesh winning the toss and electing to bat, managing to score 83 runs in 8.3 overs.  In reply, Oeiras seemed to be on course with  41 runs off the first 4 overs, before suffering a middle order collapse.  They were left needing 3 runs off 6 balls with one wicket standing going into the final over, and Bangladesh produced the perfect delivery to claim the wicket and victory.

The second game was the experience of CHP against the youth of Gaspar Correia.  CHP only lost 1 wicket en route to amassing 142 runs.  In return, Gaspar Correia could not match the run rate and finished on 110 all out, with Silkesh 47 not out.
